About Arianna Hill

Arianna aka "Ari" is a brave and spunky little girl who came into this world on her own terms May 2024. Arianna was born over a month early but has refused to let that hinder her. Arianna is a little sissy to her big brother Jayden and fur brother Buster, she's the first daughter to parents, Matthew and Elissa Hill. She is a granddaughter, a niece, cousin, music lover, teletubbie lover, banana lover and now a FIGHTER. Arianna struggled with GERD and reactive airway disease from 2mos of age yet symptoms were not improving with various treatments. A Chest CT was done during an inpatient stay to rule out chest effusion and a 5cm tumor was incidentally found on her right kidney in December 2024 when Ari was only 7 months old. The tumor was said to push against liver and diaphragm some. The kidney and tumor were removed within a couple weeks and pathology results showed Arianna has a rare form of kidney cancer called Clear Cell Sarcoma of the Kidney. She is stage II at this point. She has begun her 28 week chemotherapy treatment and will be moving forward with Radiation treatment early February 2025. Arianna's spirit has not been effected and continues to dance through this journey (literally, just provide the music). She continues to meet all developmental milestones appropriately at this point despite all of the surgeries, scars, biopsies and now chemotherapy. Arianna was recently cleared by physical therapy due to her strength and determination to crawl and stand. It is amazing to witness this girl continue to do typical "baby" things while also fighting for her life. Arianna's family has found the Alex Lemonade Stand stories to be helpful and have provided hope by seeing other positive outcomes for infants with cancer. However, with CCSK being so rare we'd like to see Arianna added as a hero for this small community in hopes that it provides a sense of hope and community for those out there who may have this same form of cancer.
