I didn’t get this post up last night, it was a long day between the remaining 60 miles and then the drive back. I finished the trail! The most notable part of this section is Paw Paw Tunnel which is so long that it is nearly pitch black without a lamp. I can tell you that I am sore and tired today! It feels good to have accomplished almost all of the miles that I’ve committed to.

It was a bit of a rough start to the journey, but I started in DC and ended in Harper’s Ferry. When I passed the 60 mile marker, it had already been dark for around two hours! A few delays in the beginning cost me some serious time but I’ll start out earlier tomorrow.
