At 14 years old, I was diagnosed with a rare terminal cancer. In an instant, my world changed. What should have been years filled with school, friends, and growing up became hospital visits, treatments, and battles I never expected to fight. Today, I’m still fighting. But I’m also still here. And I’m incredibly grateful to be healthy enough to say that I will be running the Chicago Marathon in support of Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. Running 26.2 miles is nothing compared to what kids with cancer endure every single day. I run for the children who are in hospital rooms instead of classrooms. I run for the families who hear the words no parent should ever hear. I run for the survivors, the fighters, and the angels who should still be here.
Every mile I run is for them. Every mile is a reminder of how far I’ve come and how far we still have to go. Through this marathon, I’m raising funds one mile at a time to support research, better treatments, and hope for families facing childhood cancer.
If you’re able, I would be so grateful for your support whether that’s a donation, a share, or simply cheering me on. Together, we can help change the future for kids fighting this disease.
Thank you for believing in this cause. 💛🍋
