My passion for fighting childhood cancer started in 2017 while working in the PICU at Mercy Hospital when I met the sweetest little 8 year old girl named Sydney. She had relapsed for the 3rd time and was fighting Ewing Sarcoma. Immediately she stole my heart and had me wrapped around her finger. I was blessed to be asked to be her godfather at her baptism. The bravery Sydney fought her cancer with and the steadfast faith she held in Jesus exhibited who she was. She always put others first and was more concerned how her brother and sister were doing than herself. On February 28th, 2018, God called her home. 
From that moment on, I vowed to spend the rest of my life fighting childhood cancer. I have come along side Alex's Lemonade Stand and am proud to partner with them and the INCREDIBLE work they're doing.
