About Kathleen Koch

Kathleen “Kathy” A. Koch, 76, of Quakertown, PA, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 4, 2026, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, surrounded by her loving family after a brief battle with a serious illness. Born in Philadelphia to the late Samuel and Marie Antoinette (née Issi) Celia, Kathy was the eldest of two children and was raised in Rockledge. She graduated from St. Hubert Catholic High School for Girls and later attended Taylor Business School, where she met her husband. She spent nearly 30 years of her career coordinating insurance for a prosthodontist. Kathy enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader with a naturally curious mind, finding both joy and quiet reflection in books. She loved baking for family and friends and was especially known forher homemade spritz and wedding cake cookies, which became part of many holidays and family celebrations. She was an active and faithful member of St. Isidore Roman Catholic Church. Kathy was the beloved wife of the late John M. Koch for over 52 years and the loving mother of Christina Wallitsch (Jon) and Stefanie Koch. She was the cherished Grammy of Samantha and Benjamin Wallitsch. She was predeceased by her brother, Donald S. Celia (Pat). She is also survived by her brothers- and sisters-in-law: Fred (Joan), Mary Anne Smith, Madelyn Dombrow (Roy), Eileen Deravedissian, Diane Lauro (Pete), Joseph (Maureen), Elizabeth Alexander (Bill), Carol Cashman (Mike), Patricia Hause (Joel), and Janet Leo (Vince), along with many loving nieces and nephews. Her love lives on in the traditions she created, the cookies she baked for every celebration, and the countless memories she made magical for her family. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Isidore R.C. Church, 2545 West Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, PA 18951, where the family will receive guests from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kathy’s memory may be made to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (Kathleen “Kathy” Koch Memorial Fund)
