Last September, Evan was right in the middle of frontline treatment for rhabdomyosarcoma: a pediatric cancer discovered as a bump under his skin. We had to carefully calculate every move we made to determine how it would impact his health during chemo, radiation and surgical healing. We learned that treatment options are limited, outdated and harsh. Kids deserve better! This September, I plan to fight childhood cancer, one mile at a time by participating in The Million Mile! Although Evan is in remission, he will never go back to the normal we knew before cancer. He will undergo scans every three months to look for any evilness trying to reinvade. He will also have to overcome challenges caused by some of the treatments and hospital stays. Help us move one step closer to finding cures for all kids with cancer by donating or joining my team.
