In the early 2000's when my grandma and mom were praticipating in the Relay For Life, I had created my own team called the "Golden Duckies". Gold is the color of childhood cancer and my team was made completely of kids my age. Childhood cancer has always been something I have been passionate about raising awareness around. 

This year, my husband Michael and I were looking for ways to give back and get active this fall - we stumbled across The Million Mile we thought it was the perfect combination. During the month of September which is childhood cancer awarenesss month, Michael & I will be embarking on walking/running/biking combination to reach 100 miles traveled this month! We plan on doing the Cedar City 5K to get our miles in on Septmeber 12th and raise awareness! 

Our goal together is to raise 500 dollars for Alex's Lemonade Stand! 500 Dollars can cover more than a day of research! Some stats to help you understand where your donations are going 

• $50 = one hour of research

• $100 = two hours of research

• $500 = more than a day of research

• $2,500 = more than a week of research.
