Why?

Did you know that 1 in 330 Americans develops cancer before the age of 20?  What is more compelling is that 12,000 children in the United States will develop cancer this year.

Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children under the age of 15 in the United States and the second cause of death overall behind accidents.

What started as a little girl's dream to raise $1 million by selling lemonade at a stand in her front yard, has evolved into a Foundation that has raised $40 million toward fulfilling Alex's dream of finding a cure for the disease that ultimately took her life. Today, more that 150 research projects nationally are being funding by the work started by one brave little girl!
