When
Every day, nearly 700 children worldwide receive the devastating diagnosis of cancer. This adds up to approximately 250,000 new cases annually for children under the age of 20. Among these cases, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) is a particularly aggressive form of brain cancer that affects around 150-300 children in the U.S. each year.
My nephew, Dylan, was one of those children. At just 5 years old, he was diagnosed with DIPG, and tragically, he passed away at the age of 6 in July 2016, only one month before he was supposed to start 1st grade. Despite the profound impact of childhood cancer, it remains severely underfunded, with less than 4% of the federal government’s cancer research funding dedicated to pediatric cancers.
Your support can change this. By joining the DylanStrong55 2025 team—whether by walking, running, cycling, or donating—you are contributing to crucial research to find better, safer treatments and cures for these young fighters. No child should have to endure this battle, and no family should face it alone. Please help us make a difference. Your participation and donation today can give these children the hope and future they deserve.
This year we will team up with F45 Dresher for an Impossible Mile the last week of September, more details to come!
