When
When I was born, I had a tumor attached to my heart that required surgery at just a few days old. I was incredibly fortunate to survive and grow up healthy, and today I’m grateful to be able to do things like run a half marathon.
On September 20th, I’ll be running the Hokie Half Marathon in Blacksburg, Virginia. This time, I want the 13.1 miles to mean a little more.
I’m raising money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to help fund research and support the fight against childhood cancer. I’ve set a goal of raising $1,310—$100 for every mile I’ll run.
Whether you’re able to donate $5, $20, $100, or simply share this page, I truly appreciate the support. Every contribution gets us a little closer to the goal and, more importantly, helps support the effort to give more kids the opportunity to grow up healthy and pursue the things they love.
