You all know Emilia's cancer journey. The 2.5 years of Emilia's first treatment were already awful and after being off treatment for 19 months, we then had to find out that Emilia relapsed last October. Our biggest fear became reality. It is terrifying and no child and no family should go through childhood cancer!

The research of childhood cancer is IMPORTANT! We know too many children who suffered through the treatment, too many children who relapsed after thinking the worst is behind them and too many children who lost their battle to cancer.

A year ago I would say we can be thankful for the past research of Emilia's diagnosis, B-Cell ALL. Here we are, Emilia needed another treatment and she is currently in a clinical trial. She received the Car-T immunotherapy. Every day we are hoping that this is it and the t-cells in Emilia's body continue to work. Yet there are still struggles from the treatment and she will need medication her entire life even as this treatment works.

Emilia and all the other children with cancer deserve better!
