At Trusted Family, we spend every day helping families stay strong and connected across generations. Childhood cancer threatens exactly that, and no family should have to face it. Arnaud de Coninck, our CRO, and Delis Golden, CSM are running the Austin Half Marathon on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2027; and they want those 13.1 miles to mean something bigger than a finish time. They chose Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation because of how it began: at just four years old, while fighting cancer herself, Alex Scott set up a lemonade stand in her front yard to raise money for doctors to find a cure for all kids. She raised $1 million before she passed away at age 8, and her family has carried her mission forward ever since. If a little girl with a lemonade stand could do that, they felt they could run 13.1 miles. Raising money for research that finds better treatments and cures for kids felt like the best way to turn a day about love into an act of love.
