Join us for our 9th annual Lemonade stand to raise money for Childhood Cancer
Research through Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. 8 years ago in June of 2018
our son, Toby, was diagnosed. On that day we became just one of the 47 families
who receive a childhood cancer diagnosis every single day in the US.
We will have lemonade for a free will donation to ALSF.
The cancer Toby fought (T-ALL) is a rare type of leukemia that had a much lower
survival rate just a decade ago. Thanks to research by organizations like ALSF, new
advancements brought up the cure rate to nearly that of common leukemia and after
963 days of treatment Toby is now over three years off treatment and thriving.
However, too many kids don't get the same news. A few years ago, Skylar, a young
friend we initially met in the hospital, passed away and the year before, our little
friend Ethan did as well, both after fighting Neuroblastoma. We are holding our stand
in their honor and in their memory all proceeds are designated to the ALSF
Neuroblastoma Research Fund in hopes that in the near future there will be gentler
and more effective treatments so no more kids die of this terrible cancer.
