Every day, there are almost 800 new cases of childhood cancer around the world. This adds up to an estimated 300,000 new cases of cancer that affect children under the age of 20 each year worldwide. And yet, childhood cancer is vastly and consistently underfunded with less than 4% of the federal government's total funding for cancer research dedicated to childhood cancers each year.
We are holding a fundraiser to help Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation move one step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer! We will do a 5K walk at LaSalle Park in Metairie, LA, in memory of our son, Warner Martin, who passed away from neuroblastoma. We joined with Alex's Lemonade Stand when they did the virtual End Childhood Cancer Walk/Run during the pandemic. Ever since then, we have hosted our own event here in New Orleans raising funds for pediatric cancer research.
You can join us by walking/running on October 24 either in person or wherever you are located. You can also help by making a donation right to this page. The money you donate will pay for research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. Please help kids and their families by providing desperately needed hope!
Thank you for your support!
