On Saturday Henry raised $970 towards funding childhood cancer research. We are overwhelmed by the generosity people have shown towards ALSF and their mission. Watching Henry plan, make decisions on where he wanted his budget to go, voice his concerns, problem solve, sit in front of a tv camera for an interview, and process some much needed emotions, has been a privilege. He's grown so much over the last three years and I'm very proud of who he is becoming.
It does make one pause and think about all those children who haven't had the chance to grow up. It reminds you of how fortunate you are to be able to hug your child before they go to bed every night. That's more than enough reason for us to host another event next year.
Arnav was a U.S. Junior National Cyclist who competed in local, regional and national events. When his left leg and calf started bothering him, his parents thought it was due to his training regimen. Then, he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma.
