Two years ago we hosted our first lemonade stand at Gold's Gym. The children worked hard selling lemonade and we made a little money for the cause. Last year we hosted our stand in the memory of Emily Ann Wade. Emily used to come to Kid's Care while her dad, Happy, worked out at the gym. In October 2005, Emily was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. After a short battle Emily Ann Wade, age 5, died Tuesday, July 18, 2006.

In addition to the lemonade stad last year, we had a silent auction in the days coming up the lemonade stand. It was so successful that we will host another auction this year.  We have several products and packages up for bid and the auction will begin June 4th.  This year we will also have a special demonstration by Netop, a dog who paints and has been kind enough to donate one of his paintings for our silent auction.  He will be at Gold's Gym Long Leaf Mall, Saturday, June 12th, 11am-noon.
