Children are natural learners, inquisitive from an early age. Teachers, family, friends, and community members have a responsibility to tap into this thirst for knowledge and provide children with learning experiences that will help guide children into empathetic, multiculturally aware, knowledgeable, members of society. Understanding that young children typically learn best with the hands-on approach, what better way to quench this thirst for knowledge then a Lemonade stand! The children at Bright Horizons at NOAA are undertaking this long-term project to learn how they can make a difference in the fight against cancer. Our goal is to not only raise money but to raise the children's awareness and understanding of this battle that children all over the world face, to empower them and bolster their belief that they can make a difference in the journey towards a better world! Just like we make lemonade by adding one lemon at a time, we all have the opportunity to fight pediatric cancer, one cup of lemonade at a time, your cup is waiting for you!
