I'm joining with Team Lemon to help Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation move one step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer!

My cousin, Aidan Nelson, was diagnosed with Diffuse Midline Glioma about a year ago in September, right when he was turning 11 years old. The cancer was at a stage 4 and the tumor was on his spine. Because of where it was locatated, it caused paralyzation from the neck down. Through physical therapy he was able to regain movement in his right arm and minimal movement in his other limbs. When I was last able to visit him in July, he showed no sign of the cancer! However, about three weeks ago, it was discovered that his tumor had returned. His mom, Elisha, is a rock in supporting him at home. My goal in joining this foundation as a fundraiser and to run for Aidan during the Disney Wine and Dine half marathon is to raise money so that no other child has to go through the pain Aidan has, or the pain mom, Elisha, has had to suffer through.
