Hi everyone! I am a senior at First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As a captain of the varsity field hockey team, it is my goal to use my athletic accomplishments to raise money for the treatment and research of childhood cancers. My family has gone through a whirlwind of cancer diagnoses, including my uncle, my grandfather, and most recently, my father. Seeing firsthand how taxing these types of cancer can be socially, emotionally, and financially is what motivates me to participate in this fundraiser. I am asking for a pledge per goal that I score in this season. My personal goal is to score 30 goals and collect $200 in my season of 25 games. Last year, I scored a total of 18 goals.
