About Arabella Rey Green
Our sweet baby girl, Arabella Rey (Ara) was diagnosed in December, 2018 with Neuroblastoma, at 15 months old. She fought this awful monster for just over 4 months, but passed away on Easter Sunday, at only 19 month old. She spent all but one day of those 4 months in the hospital, suffering complication after complication. While Ara was with us on this earth for only a short time, she made many friends and touched many hearts. She had an infectious smile and was full of wonder and curiosity. Her sweet nature was an inspiration to many, and a reminder to enjoy the small moments and always look for the good. She loved music and possessed an incredible sense of rhythm, especially for someone so young. She was a baby sister, beloved by her 7 year-old big sister Julia and grown-up brother Jacob. She was the last piece of our family's puzzle, and made us feel complete. There will forever be an Ara-shaped space in the center of our world. We hope to honor her memory in the way we live, including by helping to raise money for research so other families do not have to bear this kind of sadness, and so the world will know the beauty each of them will bring to it. We believe that, had she been able to live a longer life, Ara would have made an immeasurable impact on this world. We cherish the memories of her short, yet beautiful time with us.
