Hi.  I know the pandemic has negatively impacted all of us.  While some of those most hurt are obvious and widely publicized, others might not jump to the top of our minds.  Unfortunately, some of those facing the biggest threat were already beginning at a disadvantage, and they rely on the selfless work of non-profits. 

So we have a fun and exciting way to help!

Many of you know Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation to be one of those spectacular organizations, doing amazing work. 

For those who don’t, Alex’s raises money to fund research with the mission to stop childhood cancers.  Additionally, Alex’s raises money to help families who need to travel for their child’s cancer treatments when the means to do so are not available. 

While they do incredible and selfless work every day, there is currently a huge challenge at hand…  much of the foundation’s fund-raising efforts occur during live and often-times large gatherings. 

These events have been totally shut down due to the pandemic.  Additionally, many of their ongoing corporate sponsors are facing their own challenges, therefore the ability to give is dramatically reduced. 

So, let us all take a lesson from this amazing foundation’s Founder, Alex, a young lady, in the midst of fighting her own battle with cancer, who had a selfless approach to life.  She hosted a lemonade stand in her front lawn to raise money for others fighting their own battles!

Our aim is to follow her lead, and we are going to take the Lemons the world is providing right now and make some Lemonade!  My challenge to you is to join me in a fun approach to raise awareness, and if you are able, a bit of money, in the fight against childhood cancers.

Here is how it works:  Turn the camera on, share WHY you are doing this (perhaps ALSF has special meaning to you, or simply you were challenged), and then EAT YOUR LEMON wedge/half… whatever you got…  and capture that bitter lemon face for all to see.  Then….

Post the video, share the donation link (attached) to the fundraiser, and if you are so inclined, you can make a donation as well. 

MOST IMPORTANTLY…  I challenged you for a reason.  I knew I, and more importantly all of the kids battling this disease, could count on you to challenge 3 others!  Let’s keep the ball rolling and have some fun watching others earn their bitter lemon face!
