About Benjamin Dixon
Ben Dixon was, above all, the happiest and most kind person we've ever known.
At 11 years old, Ben recently passed away from his two year battle with Ewing's Sarcoma. Throughout his fight with cancer, he always remained positive and hopeful. Not once did he complain about the way he was feeling, he just muscled through everything, and managed to smile and make people around him happy all throughout.
Ben loved video games, and loved playing with his friends online. As Covid hit, and he had to isolate even more than most, video games were his solace. He was able to play with his friends almost every day, and could be heard singing, yelling, laughing, and screaming as he and his friends built and battled their way through a variety of different games. From Minecraft, to Fortnite, and everything in between, Ben became a video game expert.
Ben loved school, and was incredible at math. In his last two years he wasn't able to attend in person nearly as much as he would have liked, but still managed to keep up with his school work as if he had been there all along. When he would attend, he would be greeted by his incredible group of friends, and was protected by them as a precious asset.
Ben LOVED the snow. While he had hoped to go to Hawaii through Make-a-Wish, due to travel restrictions from Covid he was unable. But, that didn't stop him from his other love...being surrounded by snow. He was able to take a small vacation with his family to a beautiful cabin this year, and as luck would have it, would receive nearly a foot of snow while he was there. It was magical, and his smile was never brighter.
Ben will be greatly missed, by not only his family, but also by his amazing friends and even more amazing community who on multiple occasions showered him with more love and affection than he knew what to do with, and that every sick child should be adorned with.
We love you and miss you Ben. So much. Maybe, just maybe, this little fundraiser will change the tide and no other children like you will have to suffer such an unjust fate. That is why all proceeds from this fundraiser will be directed strictly to pediatric Ewing's Sarcoma research. As a fairly rare disease, approximately only 200 children every year in the U.S. are diagnosed with it. It does not receive nearly as much funding as it should. Please help us change that, if even just a little.

Thank you all, and if I can leave you with just one thing, a motto Ben wholeheartedly subscribed to; "In a world where you can be anything, be kind."
