Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of 4-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who was fighting cancer and wanted to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer. Her spirit and determination inspired others to support her cause, and when she passed away at the age of 8, she had raised $1 million.
After reading The Lemonade War by Jacqueline Davies and learning about Alexandra Scott, our goal became to continue Alex's legacy by supporting Childhood Cancer Research. Her story inspired us to raise awareness of childhood cancer and use our time and talents to be servant leaders for this cause in our community. The class has been creating marketing plans and learning how to use a budget in order to determine what other items they'd like to sell with their lemonade.
We will be selling lemonade & juice pouches, along with a variety of snack food items! Students have been put in charge of determining their pricing for the day that they have been assigned to sell. You can find this information on our posters throughout the school!
We will be setting up daily by 2:30 during the week of October 3-7. Please stop by and help us reach our goal of $2,000! Thank you so much for stopping by our page.
