Kinley was diagnosed with neuroblastoma shortly after her third birthday. She loved kitties, her bunny, cozy blankets, gems, glitter, the color pink and rainbow(which by her definition is a color). She completed frontline chemo, a resection surgery, two bone marrow transplants, and radiation. Unfortunately, she progressed during immunotherapy. We discovered the progression when Kinley stopped walking. She had broken both of her femurs due to new disease growth in both femurs and right tibia. She continued to fight for another year. Completing two MIBG treatments, more chemo, and 20 additional cycles of radiation. She spent the last 4 months of her life on hospice and passed away on January 15th, 2023.
Throughout all of this, Kinley showed so much courage and love to everyone around her, but especially her parents, little brother, and kitty named Fidget. She smiled and laughed and played throughout so much pain and all the difficult treatment she endured. Some of her go to activities were movie nights that involved Gabby Cats, hot chocolate, and popcorn, cool science experiments, cooking in the kitchen, using all the glitter glue on one piece of paper and sticking craft gems in it. She went through hell and back, leaving a trail of glitter and popcorn behind her.
