When
Charlie Watts was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma (cancer) in his left humerus a few days before his 11th birthday. He underwent 14 rounds of chemotherapy and had two surgeries to remove the diseased bone and replace it with a titanium rod, donated bone and ligaments. Charlie is now 2 years cancer free but is still on the road to recovery undergoing PT and OT to get as much movement in his left arm as possible. Charlie struggles with many everyday tasks like opening a water bottle but is determined to continue his fight. He gets scans every 4 months to ensure he doesn’t become part of the 70% of Ewings patients that relapse. Only 1 in 5 children diagnosed with cancer survive and it places a huge emotional and financial toll on families and that is why it is so important to support ALSF!
Today, the money you donate has the potential to make a huge difference in the lives of kids with cancer (and their families). Your donation will fund research into safer, more effective treatments and cures. Give today!
