Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of 4-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who was fighting cancer and wanted to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer. Her spirit and determination inspired others to support her cause, and when she passed away at the age of 8, she had raised $1 million.
Midwest DJ Production is a DJ entertainment company owned and operated by Diego and Dianna Villalobos. MDJP specializes in weddings, corporate, special events and music festival production. Kenosha, WI located in the middle of the Chicago-Milwaukee corridor is where they call home but you can find them performing shows across the Midwest and beyond. Voted "Best DJ of Kenosha County" 6 years running, they boast 6 years as full time business owners and over 30 years of freelancing experience.
With support from businesses such as Festival Foods, Twin Disc, Cricket Wireless, Tenuta's Liquor and Oliver's Bakery, the Salinas-Villalobos family has been able to hold Alex's Lemonade Stands annually for 13 years, continuing their fundraising efforts longer than they ever imagined. Dianna's sister Christina, (Better known as Cookie) the lemonade stand founder, reports an amazing fundraising total of $8,886 since 2011.
With a goal to maximize fundraising efforts, Midwest DJ Productions partnered with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation in 2022. In just 2 days time, Midwest DJ Productions'- Midwest Mix Fest managed to raise a whopping total of $1240 for the childhood cancer research foundation!
Which is why this summer, Midwest DJ Productions and Alex's Lemonade Stand are teaming up once again to bring you the 4th Annual Midwest Mix Fest 2024. Featuring 2 stages, indoor and outdoor, a diverse lineup of 40+ DJs, 40+ vendors, live graffiti art, a dance contest and much more! Also featuring a community turkey leg and taco eating competition featuring local activists, police personnel, city officials and local social media influencers.
