Hi everyone,

As we wrap up this year's Million Mile for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, I want to say a heartfelt thank you to every one of you who walked, ran, biked, and cheered your way through September with our UCLA Nano Transformers team.

This year has truly been our team's best yet, and that is all because of your participation and support! Together we logged 2,345 miles and raised $30,000 for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, finishing 8th in funds raised and 2nd in team members and miles logged among all ALSF-supported labs. Those numbers are phenomenal, but what they represent matters even more: every mile and every dollar we've helped raise moves childhood cancer research at UCLA forward for the kids and families who are counting on it.

A special thank-you to all our patients, survivors, families, friends, and colleagues for sharing your stories and spreading the word throughout the community. Your energy and dedication truly carried this team!

To everyone who squeezed in an extra walk or bike ride, logged miles after a long day, or shared our page with friends and family: thank you! You showed what UCLA Bruins can do when we come together for children courageously facing their cancer journeys.

We hope that you will join us again for next year’s Million Mile!

With gratitude,

Steve

As I love baking for fun, I turned a little hobby and community support into something bigger. I hope this contribution can help advance innovative childhood cancer research and give future patients brighter tomorrows.
