Today was HOT 🥵☀️, but it was also one of the most rewarding days we’ve had as a family.

This was our very first time ever hosting a fundraiser and really getting involved with our community through Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. We spent the day meeting so many wonderful people, sharing smiles, having conversations, and raising awareness for childhood cancer. Even with the heat, we had so much fun and made memories that I know my girls and I will never forget.

When I first signed us up for this event, my girls didn’t quite understand why we were doing it. Their biggest question was, “What do we get from it?” As parents, we try to teach our children kindness and compassion, but sometimes the greatest lessons come from real-life experiences. Throughout the day, they learned about childhood cancer, listened to stories, and began to understand what this fundraiser was truly about.

By the end of the day, their perspective had completely changed. They realized that this wasn’t about us getting something in return. It was about helping children who are fighting battles they never asked for. It was about giving those children a chance to live, grow, laugh, play, and enjoy life the same way my girls are able to every single day. ❤️

I am so thankful for this opportunity—not only for myself, but for my daughters as well. It opened our eyes, taught us valuable lessons about empathy and giving back, and helped us better understand the challenges that so many families face when a child is diagnosed with cancer.

I am incredibly proud of my girls for embracing this experience and for learning that sometimes the most meaningful thing we can do is help someone else. And I am honored to be a part of Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and to do my small part in helping children and families affected by childhood cancer.

Today wasn’t just about lemonade. It was about hope, compassion, community, and making a difference. 💛🍋
