The Snetiker Family is hosting a lemonade stand on Saturday, June 6th in memory of our beloved Zachary to benefit Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). Zachary died of DIPG brain cancer on February 20, 2025. He was a loving identical twin brother to Matthew, amazing big brother to Aria and the best son, grandson, cousin, nephew and friend anyone could ask for. Zachary loved vehicles of all kinds (especially police cars and firetrucks), superheroes, art, music, rainbows, school, camp, dogs, vacations, brownies, ice cream, his iPad, reading, games (like hangman, hide-and-seek and Zingo), and most of all hanging out with family and friends. He was silly, sweet, kind, gentle, smart, creative, loving, funny, resilient and adorable. He fought DIPG for nearly two years, going through more than any child should ever have to endure, including 3 brain surgeries, 30 rounds of radiation, 10 rounds of re-irradiation, a clinical trial, dozens of hospital stays and doctors appointments, countless blood draws and IVs, numerous MRIs and much more. He was patient and brave, and his ear-to-ear smile and kindheartedness always shone bright. Zachary should be here, and no family should ever have to go through what ours has gone through. We miss our incredible boy every single day and hope you will contribute to this important cause by coming to our lemonade stand and / or donating in memory of Zachary. The funds we raise for ALSF will go specifically towards DIPG research in hopes of finding better treatment options and ultimately a cure. We are grateful to ALSF and look forward to hosting our lemonade stand outside Greenacres, the school that Zachary loved so much and the one that Matthew currently attends as a 4th grader.
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of 4-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who was fighting cancer and wanted to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer. By the time Alex passed away at the age of 8, she had raised $1 million. Since then, the Foundation bearing her name has evolved into a worldwide fundraising movement and the largest independent childhood cancer charity in the U.S. ALSF is a leader in funding pediatric research projects across the globe and providing programs to families affected by childhood cancer.
