When
Our laboratory is participating in Alex's Million Mile to help raise money for childhood cancer research! I'm Team Captain for the Shannon Lab and an ALSF-funded researcher at the University of California, San Francisco where I study T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL). The goal of my research is to understand how leukemia cells become resistant to steroids, and to use this information to develop more effective and less toxic therapies for children with T-ALL.
I’ll be training to run my 10th half marathon in October in under two hours, and have set a goal to run 100 miles in September and to raise $2500 for childhood cancer research. If my team reaches our fundraising goal, the ALSF will match the funds we raise and that money will be used to support the research in our laboratory at UCSF!
You can read more about my research here: https://www.alexslemonade.org/grantee/anica-wandler-phd. I am proud to be funded by the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and look forward to helping them reach their goals. I sincerely appreciate your support!
