Due to Vera's treatment she is 7x more likely to suffer heart failure, 5x more likely to get a secondary cancer, and is susceptible to hearing loss, vision loss, chronic neuropathy, and many more long term side effects. All of this is due to dated treatment plans and chemotherapies that were made for adults rather than made of children. Thank you for helping us stand up for childhood cancer warriors.
