Emmy is a kind, caring and resilient 7-year-old who loves spending time with her family, playing with her dog, Rocket, building Legos, dancing and playing soccer. Before her diagnosis, she spent six days a week at the dance studio, and even throughout her treatment, she continues dancing at home with support from her teachers to help keep her active and strong.

In December 2025, just before the holidays, Emmy began experiencing bruising and a fever that lasted about a week. As concerns grew that something was wrong, her family brought her to the emergency room where bloodwork led her to be admitted to the hematology-oncology unit. After four days of testing, Emmy was diagnosed with b-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). Instantly, her family's plans for the holidays and the year ahead changed as they began navigating childhood cancer.

Emmy is currently receiving treatment for B-ALL and undergoing the most intensive phase of chemotherapy since her diagnosis. She is being treated on a low-risk protocol and hopes to complete the intensive portion of treatment by September, which will be followed by about two years of maintenance chemotherapy. Throughout every stage of treatment, Emmy’s family admires how she has shown incredible courage and resilience while continuing to find reasons to smile and help others smile too.

Soccer has always been one of Emmy's greatest passions, and she loves being on the field with her teammates and friends. With a heart for helping others, Emmy began making handmade bag charms to thank the people who supported her, this has grown into Emmy's Kindness Project, a small business where Emmy creates “Kindness Kits” to show compassion to other children facing their own medical journeys.

Although Emmy is still in treatment, she looks to the future with hope. She dreams of returning to school, getting back in the dance studio, and spending time with her friends and teammates on the soccer field. Her family also hopes Emmy's Kindness Project will continue to grow so she can connect to even more children facing childhood cancer and other medical challenges. Every day, Emmy reminds them what courage looks like.

To celebrate Emmy's 7th birthday, her family hosted two Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) lemonade stands to raise money for childhood cancer research. One stand was held in partnership with San Diego Sockers Youth, where more than 90 children played soccer while hundreds of cups of lemonade were sold. The second stand was held at their home in place of a traditional birthday party for Emmy. Together, the events raised nearly $15,000 to fund critical childhood cancer research, while introducing so many people within their community to ALSF's mission. After spending her birthday weekend playing soccer with friends and celebrating at her lemonade stands, Emmy said, "My jaw hurts from smiling so much." Through every act of kindness and every lemonade stand, Emmy continues to inspire those around her with her resilience and compassion.
