The Lemon Ball
Join us for the Lemon Ball, an unforgettable evening filled with charm and elegance, all while making a huge impact for childhood cancer research! Adorned in yellow ties and gowns, guests will enjoy an inspiring night of food, stories, entertainment, and opportunities to make a difference for children and families affected by childhood cacncer.
The evening begins with a special cocktail reception featuring incredible auction items and one-of-a-kind experiences to bid on. Guests will then make their way to the Grand Ballroom for a delicious dinner, inspiring stories and interviews from childhood cancer heroes and families, and an exhilarating live auction. The night concludes with dessert and dancing.
The Alex Scott Crystal Cup Awards will also be presented to an individual and a group for their commitment to continuing Alex's mission to fight childhood cancer, one cup at a time.

Auction
Donate your tickets, tangibles, time or talent to bettering the lives of children with cancer. You will be recognized for your donation both online and at the event. In addition to demonstrating your support, remember that an auction donation can result in a new client or customer and that all donations are tax deductible. Fill out an auction donation form to donate to this year's auction. The deadline to donate an item is Friday, January 8, 2027.

Where can guests park?
There is plenty of parking on site.
What should I wear?
Dress is “yellow tie optional,” which is our twist on “black-tie.” Men may wear tuxedos or dark suits. Women may dress in long gowns or cocktail attire.
How do I know my table number?
All guests will receive their table numbers at check-in. Additionally, there will be multiple ballroom ushers to help you find your table.
Are there rooms available at the Courtyard Marriott Springfield (connected to the venue)?

How do I bid on auction items?
Our auction opens on Monday before the event! We are using mobile bidding powered by GiveSmart. Browse and bid on items using a computer, mobile device or tablet. To register, text ‘lemon’ to 76278 or visit https://lemon.givesmart.com. The auction will remain open until 10:15pm ET on the Saturday of the event. When the auction closes, winners will be notified by text message in which they will receive a link to complete payment. Winners can pick up their items in the auction room, unless otherwise noted. Please note: ALL alcohol must be picked up that night or at the ALSF office. If you have auction-related inquiries, please contact Maggie Gaal at [email protected].
How do I donate during Fund A Cure?
There are three ways to donate during the Fund A Cure portion of the evening.
- Guests can donate by clicking the link sent directly from GiveSmart.
- Guests can fill out the donation cards at each seat.
- Guests can scan the QR code on the donation card to donate on ALSF’s Lemon Ball page.
