Scientific Advisory Board

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF)'s Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) comprises esteemed pediatric oncology faculty from institutions across the United States and Canada. Their careers are dedicated to changing the lives of children with cancer, and as members of the SAB, they ensure that our grants program areas are as impactful as possible by funding the best research projects.

The SAB oversees the ALSF grant review process, helps to set scientific priorities and policies, and guides the development of new research program areas. They continually support ALSF in myriad other ways, helping to bring Alex’s story to others, moving us one step closer to better treatments and cures for children with cancer.

Bob was integral to our grants program from its inception in 2005 onward. As the Division Chief, Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, Hematology/Oncology and Director of the Ron Matricaria Institute of Molecular Medicine at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, he made countless contributions to help children with cancer and transform the pediatric cancer landscape. We will always remember Bob's brilliance, compassion and authority, his great laugh and his incomparable sense of humor. He is greatly missed.
