The Uptown location of chain restaurant Applebee’s is taking part in a month-long campaign supporting the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
The fundraiser started Tuesday and marks the 11th consecutive year that franchisees of Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar have supported the foundation.
For the eleventh consecutive year, Applebee's will support Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation during a month long campaign that started on Monday, June 29th. Since 2005, nearly $5 million dollars have been raised and more than 870 Applebee's restaurants across the country will work toward the $6 million mark, including Saratoga! A portion of the proceeds from all the lemonade products sold will be donated to pediatric cancer research.
The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. Inc. (A&P) is taking part in its 11th campaign with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Alexandra "Alex" Scott to find a cure for childhood cancers.

Firebirds Wood Fired Grill exceeded its goal of raising $75,000 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, and donated $100,000 to the cause. Ballantyne Corporate Park donated $306 toward the cause.
The annual fundraiser encourages communities and businesses to host lemonade stands and raise funds for childhood cancer research.
Firebirds locations in StoneCrest at Piper Glen and SouthPark participated in the event.
The Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar at 2200 Ohio 53 North, Fremont, is participating in the fight against childhood cancer in July.
Beginning Monday, Applebee’s restaurants nationwide will support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation by donating a portion of lemonade and Summer Squeez sales to the charity which supports childhood cancer research.
Koa was an amazing little boy who could make anyone laugh. After he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, he fought through many life-threatening complications for five months. Sadly, Koa passed away. He's the strongest person his family knows.
