The 4th Annual Alex Gordon Baseball Classic was a beautiful weekend for baseball and a grand slam fundraiser at over $35,041 raised. All the teams in attendance used their competitive spirit for a great cause and had a fantastic time. The top three fundraising teams even got a private tour of the Kansas City Royals Clubhouse, batting cages and dugout led by Alex Gordon. Afterwards, they posed for pictures on the field with the 5-time Rawlings Gold Glove winner. For more on Gordon’s efforts with ALSF, visit Royals.com/Lemonade.
Childhood cancer heroes Calin and Aidan took the mound and threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the championship game on Sunday. Aidan even sat in the dugout for one of the contests. No matter the final score, everyone left the event a winner after helping fund better treatments and cures.
Special thanks to Midwest Sports Productions for organizing the event and Price Chopper for sponsoring the spectacular weekend.
