Event Overview

The Great Chefs Event Chicago is the place to be for all Windy City foodies. Acclaimed chefs from across the country create their signature dishes for an evening your stomach won’t soon forget! Local hosts Chef Paul Kahan, Restaurateur Donnie Madia Gianfrancisco (both of One Off Hospitality Group) and Chef Tony Mantuano (Spiaggia) invite stellar chefs to serve up world-class food for everyone in attendance to sample.

This year we are hosting the event in a new venue, Artifact Events. We are also introducing a global street food theme that will be infused throughout the evening’s fare and décor. Be sure to check out each level in the venue to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the delectable bites.

Along with some lively musical entertainment, there’s also an outdoor beer garden complete with drinks that pair perfectly with the night’s culinary delights. Plus, there are plenty of fabulous silent and live auctions items to bid on. Most importantly, everything that night will make a huge difference for children with cancer by supporting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. We hope to see you there! To see all the spectacular photos from the 2018 event, head to ALSF’s Facebook page.

Individual tickets to The Great Chefs Event Chicago are $195 ($95 tax-deductible). For more information, contact Laura Cocchia at [email protected].

We would love for you to join us next year!

Guests at The Great Chefs Event Chicago

Join the Committee

ALSF is looking to establish committees of people with the following positions. We are looking for 1-2 people for each position. Time requirements include monthly committee check-in calls and emails along with whatever is necessary to successfully manage the role.  Committee Chairs should anticipate a commitment of 20 hours (over 5 months) while Committee Members should anticipate a commitment of 10 hours (over 5 months).

Auction Acquisition Chair(s)

Solicit auction items for Live and Silent Auctions. Auction items can be, but are not limited to, any of the following: sports/theatre/concert tickets, signed memorabilia, jewelry/clothing, toys, electronics, restaurant gift certificates, spa packages, vacation packages or one of a kind experiences.

Beverage Chair(s)

Bring the fun to the event and assist in acquiring one of the most important aspects: beverages! Submit online donation requests, speak with and make connections in the beverage industry to secure donations for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Décor Chair(s)

Assist in finding floral and any other décor donations for the event. Help organize and set up any elements involving décor the day of the event. This will include helping to set up guest tables and hanging signage.

Marketing & Promotion Chair(s)

Spread the word and help sell tickets to the event. Pursues all avenues to create a broader audience and generate interest. Chair will work in conjunction with the ALSF Public Relations team to promote the event through social media channels including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

Sponsorship Chair(s)

Garner sponsors for the event by helping to create a list of businesses to then solicit. We ask that chair(s) will open their “rolodex” and reach out to their personal business contacts in the hopes that these contacts will support the event. Chair(s) will not only make the initial ask but also commit to following up with their contacts via email or phone. Note: ALSF will take care of any administrative responsibilities (i.e. drafting, printing and sending letters).

Volunteer Chair(s)

We couldn’t host events without volunteers! Gather supporters to help with the event including greeting, check-in, raffle/auction, and check-out. Volunteer shifts can also include the setup and breakdown of the event.

General Committee Member

For those who would love to support the event but cannot commit to lead an area or would like to focus their efforts on more than one specific section.

Please contact Laura Cocchia at [email protected] or (610) 649-3034 for additional information.
