Ohio All-State football player Matt Colella, who battled cancer as a middle school student, started the Kick-It Champion program by asking others to pledge a dollar amount for each point he made as his team’s kicker. His commitment to help others inspired his community and athletes around the country to become Kick-It Champions for children with cancer.

In 2014, we partnered with Kohl’s Professional Camps to expand the Champions program, encouraging their kickers, punters, and snappers to get involved. The program was renamed Kohl’s Champions in 2024. Since the partnership began, the Champions program has raised over $1.7 million.
