Smith 10th Annual Alex's Lemonade Stand

Every year, an estimated 250,000 new cases of cancer affect children under the age of 20 worldwide. That's about 700 new kids affected every day. And yet, childhood cancer is vastly and consistently underfunded. Less than 5% of the federal government's total funding for cancer research is dedicated to childhood cancers each year.Kids with cancer don't have time to wait. Your donation will go to research seeking lifesaving treatment. The money you give has the potential to make a huge difference for these kids and their families. Please give!

Alex's Lemonade Stand 2016

Alexandra "Alex" Scott, a young cancer patient, was only 4 years old when she decided to hold a lemonade stand to raise money for "her hospital," so doctors could help other kids like they'd helped her. Alex held her first stand in 2000 and continued to hold lemonade stands each year, inspiring support from her community and across the nation. Although sadly Alex passed away at the age of 8, she knew she had reached the ambitious goal of raising $1 million for childhood cancer research.I am carrying on Alex's inspiring legacy by raising money to fight childhood cancer. Hello!Audit interns at RSM in Houston are raising money throughout the course of our internships for Alex's Lemonade Stand. We hope to help minimize cancer's presence throughout the community. The money you donate towards our goal will go towards paying for over a week of research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer.
