Little Isaiah Kressler-Wood has never known life without cancer. When his mother Nicole was seven months pregnant, an ultrasound showed that there was a mass on Isaiah’s abdomen and he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma on the day he was born.

At just three weeks old, Isaiah started receiving chemotherapy every three weeks for a total of four rounds. Subsequent to completing the chemotherapy, he was closely monitored receiving MRIs every three months and first and now every six months. Thankfully, the treatment has been effective and today at nearly two-years-old, Isaiah is considered in remission.

Isaiah has shown Nicole what it is to be a true fighter and hero. She truly believes her little boy who is full of smiles and loves Elmo and Spongebob is a miracle and will grow up to be something great. She counts every day as a blessing and believes that with additional funding for pediatric cancer research, a cure will be found so that someday no other family will have to endure the life-changing experience of a young child being diagnosed with cancer.
