Jermier had a lovable personality, enjoyed playing with his friends and adored going to school. His favorite foods were chips and Reese’s cups, and his favorite thing to do was play video games.

Whenever he was running and playing, Jermier would always complain about having leg pain. One day, the doctor told Jermier’s family that he had Stage IV neuroblastoma. Jermier was only 4 years old, but he bravely began treatment that consisted of chemotherapy and radiation. He rang the bell to signal the end of treatment four different times over his years of fighting at Children’s Hospital of Minneapolis. Sadly, Jermier passed away from his cancer.

Jermier is his mom Kylea’s hero because, despite all he’s been through, he never complained about any of it, or let it get in his way! Today, she hopes to heal and learn how to keep living without her baby. She wants others to know that if they are facing a childhood cancer diagnosis, just keep faith, talk to someone, and a good support system does wonders.

To Kylea, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation means that there is hope for a cure one day.
