Priscilla has a kind heart, a great sense of humor, and an incredible ability to make others smile even during difficult times. Priscilla is one of the strongest and most resilient people her family knows. She is brave, determined, and continues to find joy in the little things despite everything she has been through.

Before Priscilla’s diagnosis, her family was searching for answers and trying to understand why she wasn’t feeling well. At first, Priscilla was diagnosed with mixed-phenotype acute leukemia, but then she received a new diagnosis, T-cell leukemia, and began treatment.

She has faced chemotherapy, lengthy hospital stays, frequent appointments, tests, and a bone marrow transplant. It has been a physically, emotionally, and financially challenging journey for Priscilla, but she has continued to fight every step of the way with incredible strength.

“Priscilla is my hero because she faces challenges that most adults would struggle with, yet she continues to fight with courage and grace,” said Aixza, Priscilla’s mom. “She has endured countless treatments, hospital stays, and setbacks, but she never gives up. Watching her strength, positivity, and determination inspires me every day and reminds me what true bravery looks like.”

When she was first diagnosed, Priscilla had to travel to a hospital in Los Angeles, California from her home in Las Vegas, Nevada to get the treatment she needed for her cancer. Then she qualified for a clinical trial in NYC, even farther away. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s Travel For Care program supported her family every step of the way, including navigating the distances and lodging.

“Alex’s Travel For Care program has been a tremendous blessing to our family,” said Aixza. “Traveling for specialized treatment in L.A. and New York created additional stress and expenses during an already difficult time. Their support helped ease some of those burdens, allowing us to focus more on Priscilla’s care and less on the logistics of getting her where she needed to be. We are incredibly grateful for the compassion and assistance they provided during such a challenging chapter of our lives.”

Today, Priscilla has recieved the best news: she is cancer-free! She will be able to undergo a transplant that's needed to complete her treatment. Aixza’s greatest hope is for Priscilla to continue healing, growing stronger, and enjoying all the experiences that every child deserves.

“We look forward to the day when cancer is just a chapter in her story rather than the center of it,” she shared.
