Wills & Bequests

Maintain control of your assets now, while establishing a legacy that will support cures for children with cancer. You have the option to make your gift unrestricted – and your gift will go where it is needed most - or to direct your gift to a program that is important to you, such as family services or research into a particular type of childhood cancer.

If you already have a will, you can still include ALSF through a codicil that modifies your will. Please contact Lexi Gratton at [email protected] to receive a sample codicil.

Beneficiary Designation

While the objective of financial accounts is to preserve your capital and grow your assets for the long term, it is also important to consider where your remaining account balance will be transferred after your death. You can name Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation as a partial or total beneficiary of your financial accounts, including:

  • Retirement accounts
  • Life insurance plan
  • Brokerage accounts
  • Bank accounts
  • Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)

Contact your plan’s administrator to add ALSF as a beneficiary.

Retirement Plans

A retirement plan can be the simplest way, as well as the most tax-efficient way, to support Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation during your lifetime. Known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) or IRA charitable rollover, individuals who are of age may donate from their IRA to meet minimum distribution requirements and reduce taxable income.

Charitable Gift Annuities

This gift option allows you to increase your giving ability while also continuing to enjoy income from your assets. In return for your contribution, you will receive fixed annuity payments for the remainder of your lifetime.
