Established in July 2025 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Krapf Family Foundation is a lasting expression of the values that have guided the Krapf family and company for more than eight decades.
From the very beginning, founder George Krapf lived by a simple but powerful mantra: “Always give back.” Even while building a fledgling school bus business during the challenges of World War II, George believed in supporting the communities Krapf served and giving back to the transportation industry whenever and wherever he could. As the company grew and his sons carried the business forward, they embraced that same commitment, making it a priority to support schools, communities, charitable organizations and industry associations, not only through financial contributions, but through their time, leadership and talents.
Today, the Krapf Family Foundation codifies George’s legacy of generosity and service, providing a formal avenue to carry his philosophy forward and ensure that the spirit of “always give back” remains an enduring part of the Krapf family and its commitment to the communities and industry it has proudly served since 1942.
