Jackie was diagnosed with leukemia (M1, AML) on December 24, 2006 at the age of 3. After undergoing a brutal 8 months of therapy, Jackie finally came home and started living a "new normal.”  Sadly, this did not last long, as only 6 months post-treatment Jackie relapsed on February 8, 2008.  Jackie underwent an unrelated stem cell transplant on May 12, 2008.  Jackie is currently home with post-transplant complications but is pushing forward by helping others.  She is truly an inspirational little girl.
