Sammy was born on April 2, 2006, which happened to be his great-grandmother's birthday too! We thought things were all right until we took him to his 3 month well baby check-up. The doctor sent us for tests on Friday, July 7, 2006 and Sammy was diagnosed with cancer. On July 11, 2006 doctors informed us that his type of cancer was extremely rare and they didn’t think he would survive the weekend. Sammy fought strong & hard for 3 weeks, baffling all the doctors. He earned his wings on July 27, 2006. Even though his life was cut short he touched many lives. He will always be remembered!
