Learn More »Mikayla was diagnosed in 2009 with a mass on her pituitary gland. Early in 2010 it was known to be a "germinoma," a cancerous tumor. Mikayla would later become one of the first children to receive proton radiation at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Mikayla is my hero because she is a fighter of childhood cancer and she is winning!!!
