Monica loves to sing and dance and be around other kids; she is so full of life. She is always happy.

Monica was a happy 20 month old toddler when she was diagnosed with a high grade brain tumor. In 2008, she had her first surgery, then chemotherapy for about 11 months. She then had a recurrence in August 2009, followed by another surgery and 32 days of radiation. In 2011, Monica developed another type of cancer- rhabdomyosarcoma. She had 13 weeks of intense chemotherapy to shrink her tumor, which was on her right chest wall, and surgery on June 20, 2011. She started chemo three weeks later.
