Alaina is 12 years old and an incredible artist who loves using her imagination. She’s a very caring big sister to two little brothers, always using her creativity to come up with games for them to play together.
When Alaina’s little brother, William, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, she experienced many ups and downs along with her family. Still, she navigated all of the fear, anger, frustration, and sadness throughout William’s treatment journey with such grace. Although she often struggled quietly and kept her thoughts to herself, her family could see how strong she was being for all of them.
While William was in the hospital, one of their nurses told their family about the SuperSibs program. Using the books Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation provided was helpful for Alaina and her family to navigate so many big emotions and tough conversations.
Today, William is in remission, and Alaina continues to do her best to navigate the hard times with a compassionate heart.
