Charlotte is a funny 9-year-old who loves Taylor Swift. Her interests include horseback riding, collecting Breyer horses, and bugging her mom for a golden retriever.

When Charlotte’s sister Claire was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, Charlotte did her best to be strong. She displayed a level of maturity far beyond her years. While Claire stayed in the hospital for more than 30 days, Charlotte was brave enough to start first grade at a brand-new school.

When Claire is at her lowest, she can always count on Charlotte to make her laugh with a silly wig or pretending to be a unicorn. When Claire had to receive steroid pulses, and didn’t really want to see anyone, Charlotte bought a remote-controlled robot to deliver small gifts and candy to her sister’s bedroom.   

Charlotte has found comfort during the hard times by taking up new hobbies and finding support in the SuperSibs program. She likes advocating and fundraising for childhood cancer research, especially during The Million Mile. She’s even made grab bags for her whole class with childhood cancer pins and fidget spinners. Making a difference has helped her to feel empowered.

Through it all, Charlotte’s bravery, maturity and silliness help her to be an amazing sister.
